Emma is staying most of this week with her grandparents (because of my school schedule, and Emma's lack of a school schedule. ugh) and I miss her already, even though I spent the day tearing my house apart in search of my gold watch that she lost, which I'm pretty sure got donated to the Goodwill inside of a tea set, which I'm just going to go ahead and blame my sister for, because she bought Emma another tea set, which led to me having to give one away, and holy shit, I digress.
I miss my daughter, because while sometimes she does stupid stuff like hide expensive watches, she also does funny stuff too, and when I allow myself to stop being so serious about life (and lost watches), this is the kind of stuff I laugh out loud about:
I miss my daughter, because while sometimes she does stupid stuff like hide expensive watches, she also does funny stuff too, and when I allow myself to stop being so serious about life (and lost watches), this is the kind of stuff I laugh out loud about:
-an extremely neat underwear trail.
-stuffed animals, in cute and unlikely spaces.
-backpack contents.
Oh, to be four years old, right?
